Internship Job Description:
UHWD, a grassroots immigrant workers’ rights organization, is accepting applications for part-time interns. This position supports worker and community outreach, projects, campaigns and trainings, social media, and other work as needed. Opportunities available for professional advancement for interns who fit well with our organization and work style. UHWD will help students get credit for internships if available from your school, and a stipend. Apply today!
Ideal Qualifications and Skills Include:
The internship position is for approximately 15-17 hours a week, as needed, and excluding holidays. Interns who demonstrate success in this position could be offered further opportunities. UHWD will help interns receive credit from their schools, accepted, and give a small stipend. Submit a resume, a cover letter that is 2 pages at minimum, detailing relevant experience and skills. Fully one page at minimum, should outline what you think the most pressing immigration or worker issue (choose one, not both, for your cover letter) is, for immigrant workers in Metro Detroit, as well as outline how you would go about changing it..
